Dr. Monika Spokas, founder of Clarendon Vision Development Center in Westmont, IL, fell in love with pediatrics and vision therapy in optometry school. She understood that this, combined with her passion, gave her the key to make a positive impact on the trajectory of others’ lives. In her 20 years of serving Chicagoland, Dr. Spokas built a team of like-minded professionals looking to put the patient first.
“Our team loves what we do. It is our vocation. It is our passion. The opportunity to improve the lives of our patients and their families is the core of who we are.”
A patient’s success can be the best word of advice. Here are some of ours.
Dr. Spokas is awesome, great with kids always taking time to explain and answer any questions we have very friendly person my daughter likes her very much and she likes going there to check her eyes. Office staff is pleasant always willing to help.
Rita the optician helped and explained very clearly to my child how to wear contacts with patience she is very nice and kind.
Dr. Spokas is incredibly knowledgeable and so kind. We trust her for our whole family's vision needs. Also love the therapists. Vision therapy was hugely helpful for our oldest - our child went from refusing to pick up a book to voraciously reading. Highly recommend this practice.
Always love coming to Clarendon Vision. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, great selection of frames. Doctor always sees us on time and is very personable. You will not be disappointed with Clarendon Vision. Two thumbs up!
My daughter is usually very nervous when going to the doctor. Dr. Cummings did many things that were done to keep her occupied and distracted so she was a lot less nervous about the visit. She was wonderful! The entire staff is SO great! So easy to work with. We were very happy and pleased with the experience!
The staff and doctor Cumings were wonderful. I’ve never had an eye exam that was so thorough and actually addressed all my issues. Everyone was sweet and very helpful. The only place I’ll be trusting for my eye care. Thank you!
Clarendon Vision Development Center staff is welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Dr. Cumings is extremely knowledgeable and authentic. Her assessment was comprehensive and I valued time spent to explain my vision problem. I look forward to a long professional relationship with the center and Dr. Cumings.
I've been with Clarendon Vision for a long time now and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. My daughter has been on the Ortho-k treatment for about 6 years and she loves it. They made the process super easy for us and are always available if any problems come up.
Dr Spokas was the first Doctor who identified and associated my son’s reading disability with vision problems, after therapy we went from IEP to the normal reading levels. Thank you very much and we highly recommend Dr Spokas for you and your family
I am so glad I came here! I'm a truck driver and have had weird feelings in my head and really tired eyes along with anxiety, but not no more thanks to Clarendon Vision. The eye doctor and all the staff were amazing and so helpful. Thank you!
After seeing Dr. Spokas for many years and loving her approach, I saw Dr. Amber Cumings today for the first time. She was kind, thoughtful, answered all my questions, and was extremely knowledgeable. In the many years of my family going to Clarendon Vision, we have never had a bad experience. You cannot go wrong at this spectacular practice.
I have been seeing Dr. Spokas for almost 10 years. Her calendar was booked so I had to get on Dr. Cummings’ schedule instead. I am pleased to share that she was equally brilliant as Dr. Spokas. Both doctors are very personable and knowledgeable health care professionals. I am always satisfied with my visits to Clarendon Vision!
Dr. Amber was very thorough and worked carefully with me to make sure she understood as much as possible about what was happening with my vision. The reception and support staff was super nice in person and very helpful over the phone while scheduling and rescheduling.
They got me in same day for an eye injury, and the entire experience was wonderful! The staff and doctor were all very pleasant and the process went smoothly and quickly. I would definitely recommend!!!
