Back to School 1

It is estimated that 25% of students today have undiagnosed vision problems that interfere with their ability to learn!

Signs of a vision problem include:

  • Takes HOURS to do 20 minutes of homework

  • Misses words or lines

  • Confuses similar looking words

  • Reads and re-read in order to understand

  • Blurred or double vision

  • Difficulty copying from the board

  • Poor handwriting

  • Misaligned numbers

  • Works below potential

  • Smart in everything except school

Vision is a learned skill, just like walking and talking.  It is a complex process involving over 17 visual abilities and 2/3  of the pathways to the brain.  Nearly 80% of what a child perceives, comprehends and remembers depends on the efficiency of the visual system.

If your child is struggling in school, come to this workshop and learn why they should have a functional vision exam by a Developmental Optometrist to rule out a vision problem.
