Developmental Optometrist

Dr. Monika Spokas is a clinical director of Clarendon Vision Development Center. She was born in Lithuania and came to the United States in 1992. She has graduated from Maria High School and continued on to Loyola University in Chicago where she graduated cum laude with a degree in Biological Sciences.
Monika Spokas earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree as a cum laude graduate of the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry. During her time there, Monika was the recipient of a number of awards recognizing her academic and clinical excellence.
Dr. Monika Spokas is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry and of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She has completed extensive post-graduate studies in vision development and vision therapy. She lives in Burr Ridge with her husband and three daughters. Her outside interests include tennis, scuba diving and skiing.

Developmental Optometrist

Dr. Weil, a native of the Chicago land area received her BA degree from Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Following her graduation, she worked as a patient service coordinator and camp director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Du Page County. With the encouragement of many physicians Linda entered optometry school and graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1986. She then completed a 3 month internship and 1 year residency in pediatrics and binocular vision at the State University of New York and the Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Following her post graduate studies she joined the faculty at the University of Houston, College of Optometry as an assistant professor where she lectured on the treatment of lazy eyes and other childhood conditions.

In 1989 she returned to Chicago where Linda has been practicing in the Western suburbs for over 20 years. Most recently, she completed another post-graduate course in the area of Behavior Optometry and visual-cognitive therapy which emphasizes integrating vision with the other senses of the body to help children perform to their highest abilities.
Dr. Weil lives in Chicago with her husband Steve Silk and son Gabriel. Linda’s interest include: cooking, entertaining with friends, traveling, hiking and taking care of her family.




Rita was born in Lithuania and earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Kaunas Technological University.  She moved to the United States in 2000.  Rita has been working as an Optician since 1997 and has been with Dr. Spokas since 2004.  Rita enjoys working with our patients to find the perfect solution to their optical needs.

Rita lives in Willowbrook with her husband and 2 beautiful children.  She enjoys reading and yoga, as well as spending time with her family skiing and swimming.




Vision Therapist

Yanin is a vision therapist at Clarendon Vision Development Center. She earned a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Rosalind Franklin University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan.

Yanin first started working with children at a specialized summer camp for children where she was then introduced to vision therapy. She loves being a vision therapist because she gets the opportunity to watch children improve and grow and she learns something new every day. In her free time, Yanin enjoys fitness and yoga, following Chicago sports teams, and trying new restaurants.
